Masonry veneer walls act as a rainscreen barrier for structures because the veneer is designed to repel some moisture and manage any additional moisture that gets past the rainscreen. When the moisture penetrates the wall, it will eventually fall to the bottom of the veneer system.

From there, Hydro Rents’ wall moisture management systems ensure the water is funneled down the cavity between the structure and the rainscreen to the exterior of the wall using flashing systems and weep systems. The flashing systems help divert the moisture toward the weep systems to allow it to escape. Our wall moisture management systems include through-wall flashing, mortar retention devices and weep systems.

Our wall moisture management systems are manufactured by Hohmann & Barnard, WIRE-BOND, Mortar Net, W.R. Grace, York Manufacturing, CavClear, Advanced Building Products, and Henry Company.
